London Euston, Shrewsbury, Dublin lodgings

Hello -- traveling to London this July/August and want to stay near Euston Station / King's Cross area and would like a referral to a B&B or other small hotel. Also going to Shrewsbury by train from Euston Station and would like a referral for a B&B or other small hotel there, with final leg to Dublin and need referral for downtown lodging -- thanks!

Been to Dublin twice, stayed at Trinity College both times:

It's definitely "downtown" but unlike a B&B or hotel, the dormitories are well inside the college gates. It's nice in that it's very secure, but stopping by your room in the middle of the day to drop something off, etc. is not very convenient. But it's worth it to stay in a place with so much history and atmosphere.

It also comes with a pretty good continental breakfast, and you can choose to pay for a cooked breakfast if you want. The dining room is the cafeteria the students use during the year. The second time we stayed there I think it was being renovated, so we ate in the faculty dining room, complete with really high, dark wood paneled walls and large oil paintings staring down at you.

I would second Chris on staying at Trinity College. Great place to see at night with no tourists around.
