London Connect Train to and from Heathrow to Paddington

For all you travelers that have flown into Heathrow Terminal 4. I see London Connect leaves from Heathrow (well some trains do) for 6.90 GBP but the return trip costs 12.90 GBP. How does this work? OR, if we purchase a round trip ticket at the beginning is the 12.90 the total price? If we purchased a ticket from Paddington to Heathrow would that work as a one way ticket? or, am I reading this wrong on the tfl.co.uk website. I need help!! $25.80 for a one way trip to the airport from Paddington?? Am I reading the website correctly? Thanks for your direction.

In the UK "Return" is what we call "Round Trip". So for Connect, it's £6.90 for a one-way ticket to Paddington Station or £12.90 for a round-trip ticket, saving 90 pence or about $2 (don't lose your ticket!).

If Paddington is close to where you're going, it's a good deal; half the money, twice the time compared to Heathrow Express, and nicer than the tube, plus you don't have to hump your bags up a bunch of steps.

Connect doesn't serve Heathrow Terminal 5; Heathrow Express (£15.50/£29.00) and the Underground both do.

Keep in mind that the Picadilly Line of the Underground goes all the way to Heathrow, stopping at all terminals. If you get an Oyster card it will cost about half what Connect costs and is about 60 minutes to Picadilly Circus.
