London City Airport Connection time?

I will be arriving mid morning on a week day into London City Airport from the US on British Airlines and have exactly one hour to catch my flight to Venice (also British Airlines). It is a legal connection per the reservationist but.... do I really have enough time to clear immigration and customs and still make my flight? I will have a carryon only.
Thanks for your replys.

You don't have to clear immigration, only security. You will clear immigration in Italy (since UK is not part of Schengen). London City is a small airport, single runway, single terminal. Does BA flyy to London City Airport from US??? I didn't know that.

You will get the fast track service through travelling in club class, so although LCY isn't really set up for international connection there shouldn't be that much inconvenience. Bags can be checked through and need not be collected. You will need to reclear security, and check-in again if you haven't been able to in advance. Still one hour seems do-able - and presuming you are on a single ticket, would be protected if your incoming flight is delayed.

Okay, sounds like I can relax. Yes, flights from US do land at London City Airport. This is a first for me. I am flying on a code share with American Airlines from New York City.
Thank you for your help.

"Does BA flyy to London City Airport from US?" There is a all business class flight from JFK to LCY with 32 seats on a Airbus 319. It is aimed primarily at business types from the City and Canary Wharf. The journey from LCY to JFK has a refuelling stop at SNN where US customs and immigration is carried out so on arrival at JFK there are no further formalities to go through. The stop is necessary technically as the 319 can't be fully-fuelled to take off on the short LCY runway.
