LoganAir: Carlisle-Dublin:baggage

Hello
Any recent experience with LoganAir from Carlisle-Dublin. We will have a 6 day stay in Lake District, then onto Ireland for 9 days. We will have hiking gear in addition to regular clothing, cameras etc. We expect to check 2 bags each due to carry-on luggage restrictions. Their site indicates they will take extra bags as room allows. If paid for in advance has it been other's experience that their luggage is on same flight.
Thank you

I flew Loganair Glasgow-Barra, which is a 19 seat twin otter. Had no issues with baggage which included hiking gear. The only person I know who had an issue had left her iPad in Barra. Loganair said they’d bring it back to her gratis. They’re pretty nice. Your flight will probably be a bigger plane so I doubt you’ll have problems.

Loganair uses Saab 340s on the route so while bigger than a Twin Otter, not a huge aircraft. And if the flight is full there is a risk that there won't be enough space in the luggage hold for your extra bags.

I have flown Loganair a couple of times. They are strict about carry on luggage but it seems there was no problem with hold luggage. You could contact them and ask.
