We will be traveling by train through Verona (on our way to Venice) and through Tirano (on our way to Milan). We would like to spend several hours in both of those places but we do not want to be carrying our luggage with us. I understand that storage lockers have been removed from train stations in Italy for security reasons. Is this true? If so, are there other storage options?
Thanks
I only saw left luggage services in airports, not lockers (3 years ago info).
However I don't believe you another choice than to pack light.
Try to ask your question on Tripsadvisor.com . There are many locals on thsi forum.
I see no one has helped here besides me. :)
Not true, at least in Milan Central a month ago. Left luggage is located on ground level of terminal. Signage was scant probably due to construction. No "lockers" per se but an actual manned storage service.
