LNER booking issues anyone?

I have spent most of the day trying to book tickets for 4 people from London (Kings Crossing) to Edinburgh. On the LNER website, I complete each page, but the purchase doesn't go through. Is this a common issue? The tickets are cheaper on this website rather than going to the National Rail or Trainline.com websites. Since I live in the US, it isn't easy to call, so I am emailing which requires some time for response. Does anyone have any suggestions?

I've not experienced this issue, having booked with LNER many times before. I would advise not booking through a third party site like Trainline - stick to the train operating companies.

The National Rail site is not a third party, it's the official aggregating site for all train times etc. You can't book on this site - it will just direct you to the train operator's site.

You can book any route with any of the train operating companies, regardless of which actually runs the route. If you're having trouble with the LNER site, I would advise you to try booking that route on one of the other train operating company sites. Pricing will be the same as the LNER site.

Thank you for your help! I don't know what the difference was, but when I went through the link you attached (which took me to LNER website), I signed into my account and made the ticket select as I've been doing all day, and I was able to book it. ??? Go figure! Thank you!
