Liigu car rental

Does anyone have any experience using Liigu car rentals? It's significantly cheaper than all others in Bordeaux, but the required technology is something I've never tried before and not sure I'd want to while driving in France for the first time. https://www.liigu.me/en-gb

Interesting…. I am low tech and cheap at home, but I know people who use their phones to lock and unlock and start their own car and can locate it via app. Ok, I know one person….

I wondered about price. I will probably be looking for a car in Riga (one of their cities) in the fall, but they show as sold out there, so I couldn’t compare. And I guess all documents can be done online, at this point in our tech world. You might be in trouble without data though. I am curious.

Ok, I know one person….

That's one more person than me. I asked my kids about it and neither have done something like that, but would have no problem diving right in. But me....

Hi Allan,

We are extremely glad to hear that Liigu car rental has sparked your interest!

Our service is, indeed, keyless and contactless! All you need is your phone! After you book your rental, you will be guided to download the Liigu Mobility app to set up a profile and upload your documents. The profile will be verified in advance and your car will be waiting for you in the pick-up location you chose when you made the booking. The exact directions to locate the vehicle will appear in the app 30-15 min before your pick-up time, and you can avoid the hassle with queues to a rental desk.

All of our fleet is fairly new and the oldest models in our park date back to 2022. We offer 24/7 support over the phone and Whatsapp, so we are glad to answer all the questions you might have and would be happy to serve you in Bordeaux!

Kind regards,
Jennifer from Liigu

@ Allan

Remembered reading about this startup in a magazine.

Great to see these ladies pushing the boundaries and utilising their talents building their business. I hope they will be successful.

Me thinks more for the younger generation who are into “contactless mobility service.” Who also have unlimited faith in the protections offered by mobile technologies. Those who are attracted by the lowest price.

Have the time and patience to deal with people and keep real jobs going for as long as possible.
