I'll be taking the Leonardo Express from the Rome Airport to the Termini Station, but I can't find any map of the Rome Airport which shows exactly where in the airport the Leonardo Express station is. Can you help?
All flights from the US arrive at Terminal 3, and once you have
picked up your luggage, and have cleared Italian customs, you will find yourself in the main arrival hall of that terminal. If you turn right, there is an entrance through an underpass to the train station. At the far end, there's an escalator up to the station. Look for the blue overhead signs to Stazione FS/Railway Station. There are ATM's in the station, as well as a ticket office and self-service kiosks.
Start with Tom's info, then go here. Follow as many links in his post as necessary...it's all good info.
Patty, As soon as you're clear of Passport control, you probably see the signs for "Stazione". As I recall, you'll need to go up an escalator / stairs to get to the station. When you get to the top, you'll see the tracks and probably at least one train. Last year I found that if buying tickets at the ticket booths the cost was €15, but at the Kiosks it was €14. BE SURE to validate prior to boarding the train (that's easy to forget when coming off an international flight). Happy travels!
The staion is easy to find, and yes, validate, validate, validate. Even though a train with only a start and a stop would not be an issue, the transit cops love to prowl the express to issue 50 euro tickets...in cash...on the spot.
