Leaving luggage in train stations

My daughter and I will be traveling in France this summer, arriving Paris CDG, and taking trains. There are a couple of times in our itinerary where it would be useful to leave luggage in a train station: especially the first day when we arrive early in the morning (before we check in at our hotel, although they might be willing to stow our bags before the room is ready), and on the last day, so we can do a day trip from Paris and not have to go back to the hotel to retrieve luggage before heading to airport.

Is there anyplace to leave baggage in a train station along a reasonable route from Charles de Gaulle to Versailles (first day)?

Is there anyplace to leave luggage in the Paris Montparnasse or Chartres train station (our last day trip)?

Last time we were in Europe no train stations were taking baggage because of heightened security.

During my trip to Bavaria last October, I used lockers at four railroad stations: Munich, Donauwörth, Nürnberg, and Passau. Munich also has a luggage check room in the Hbf. In Bamberg, there were lockers, all full, at the Bhf, but I found lockers at the central bus station (ZOB).

As I recall, there were no lockers at the stations in Oberammergau and Dinkelsbühl, but I don't think that had anything to do with heightened security.

If you take the RER B line from CDG to Paris, you will pass through Gare du Nord. There are left luggage facilities there. Gare Montparnasse also has left luggage facilities as do Gare de Lyon, Gare de l'Est, and Gare d'Austerlitz.
