I was wanting to know if anyone knew about being allowed to leave luggage in the airport (obviously locked up) for a few weeks. We are backpacking for three weeks and the last week will involve hiking parts of the Alps. Don't feel like carrying around cold weather gear the entire time but would love to fly in with it and retrieve it at the end before the hiking.

I've done it at Frankfurt. They have a storage facility like a coat check. They x-ray your stuff as they take it in, then give you a tag to bring back. It wasn't that expensive. I was dropping off my business attire to travel with only my casual clothes.
