Leaving CDG: going through Passport Control/Security

My daughter and I will be traveling through Europe. After Paris, we will be splitting up. On the same day, she will be traveling CDG to US through LHR leaving from Terminal 2A. I will be traveling CDG and staying within the Schengen area from Terminal 2F. My flight leaves 2 hours after hers. My understanding is that she will have to go through Passport Control and I will not.

Question(s):
At what point at CDG would we need to spilt up? Can we meet on the "air" side once I clear security and she clears security and passport control? I am OK having to go back through security if we can meet at 2A then heading over to 2F once she starts to board her flight but I would like to avoid that if possible.

No, you can't meet airside because you are in different terminals. Although they are called "2A" and "2F" so it seems like they are all in one building, they are separate smaller buildings and not connected on the security side. She'd go thru separate from you. You can see her off in 2A then make your way to 2F.

Here's a link to EasyCDG with a map - which may make it more or less confusing, lol!

Pam has described it correctly. Basically you will go to separate terminals to check in for your respective flights — you will be separate as soon as the taxi drops you off at your respective terminals.

Passport Control is first. If you go through, you’d be leaving the country.
