Layover Time in Montreal

I'm looking at a flight from Seattle to Quebec City via Montreal. The layover time is 1 hour, 5 minutes. It's all Air Canada. Is that enough time to clear immigration and get to a domestic Canadian flight at Montreal-Trudeau International? Yes, there are plenty of other puddle hoppers between Montreal and Quebec City.

I can't speak to timing to the get through customs/immigrations but I can share that I have rarely had an Air Canada flight leave on time. Air Canada has been my only option for my travels the last few years/due to flight times/ locations. I'm assuming your Seattle flight is the same day return flight to MTL. Assuming it is delayed from MTL it will be that much later leaving from Seattle.

I went through YUL a couple weeks ago. The immigration lines were quite long and the airport is large. A 65-minute connection would be iffy, in my opinion. After filling out my entry declaration and scanning my passport, I was still verbally questioned by an Immigration Officer which, as an American, was a new experience for me entering Canada.

I went through Montreal from the US to a Canadian destination in 2022. There was a long immigration line to enter the country that required going back through security to get to the gate for the onward flight. However, there was also a fast track immigration line for connecting flights from trusted countries that didn’t require going through security again before going to the gate. It wasn’t clearly marked at all. Our delayed flight made our connection tight, so I asked an immigration officer where the fast track was. He pulled back a line divider to let us enter that area. There was almost no line, and we made our tight connection (to then have boarding delayed so maybe it didn’t matter). Check to see if they still offer this alternative immigration line. It saves so much time and hassle. But, once you are through the line, don’t put away your boarding passes. We had to show them again once or twice more on our way through to the gate area.

Thanks, everyone. Google Flights does say that each leg is routinely delayed by 30+ minutes.
