Layover in Dublin

Long time viewer, first time poster. We are traveling from Charlotte to Berlin, with a layover in Dublin. The first leg is on American Airlines (AA). The second leg, from Dublin to Berlin, has an AA flight number but is “operated by Aer Lingus” (AL).

Questions:

1). On the 2nd leg of the flight from Dublin to Berlin, are the limits for our carry-on bags restricted by AA or AL? If the limits are AL’s, then I might have a follow-up question (on the possibility of needing to ‘book’ a 10kg carry-on). The airline websites, and their FAQs, were not particularly helpful.

2). In Dublin, will we need to go through any of these? Anything else?
o Security Check
o Immigration/Passport Control
o Customs

I have searched and read several prior forum posts on the Dublin Layover topic, but still have some uncertainty. Thanks in advance for any guidance.

When boarding the Aer Lingus flight your carryon items will be subject to AL’s baggage restrictions.
