Layover in CDG on route from Nice to Dublin

Hi
We’re flyimg from Nice to Dublin on Air France with a 3.5 layover at CDG. Will we have to go thru any customs or passport control or is it just a matter of possible terminal change? Any other considerations we should be aware of?

Thx!
Shawn

From NIce to CDG you're still within France so no passport control. Just head to your connecting flight. Any checked luggage checked in NIce you'll retrieve at Dublin.

You will of course have to go through passport control at Dublin.

Won't they have to go through passport control at CDG because they'll be leaving the Schengen zone (Ireland is not a Schengen country)?

You will have to go through Schengen exit passport control in Paris and then Irish entry passport control in Dublin. Assuming you booked this flight on one ticket (i.e. you did not buy a ticket from Nice to Paris, and then a separate one from Paris to Dublin) you will not see your baggage until you arrive in Dublin.

As your entire journey is within the European Union you will exit customs in Dublin through the blue "arrivals from the EU" channel (unless for some very unusual reason you have something to declare, but this is extremely unlikely to be the case -- if you do, you're probably not the kind of person who would post on this forum!)
