I have a 90 min layover, worried it’s to short. Flying home, I leave from Venice into London (Heathrow) to U.S. on British Airways. Can I make connections in this short amount of time?
Thanks!
I would not worry about it (were you worried when you bought the ticket showing a 90 minute layover or did they change it?); you will either make the connection or miss it but the airline that sold you that ticket as a legal minimum connection time is responsible for getting you home. However if you bought a separate ticket Venice to London then you should change that so you arrive a lot earlier.
This is all on one ticket. They didn’t change the times, this is how it was scheduled when I booked it. Wasn’t nervous about it when I booked it, but now I’m just anxious if I have to go through customs, security an all.
Since you are arriving at Heathrow from outside the UK you do not formally enter the UK. Therefore no immigration checks, but I would expect a security screening. You can read more about what to expect at LHR’s website.

I assume you're coming into Terminal 5 and departing from Terminal 5? That should make the process easier.
90 minutes should be OK if there is no significant delay. Thank God you won't have to go through immigration in Heathrow - that's a complete disaster, I waited there two hours. However you will have to go through the security again (first time in Venice). I noticed that most Americans are acting like trained Pavlovs dogs. They are taking off their shoes despite nobody is asking them to do that. So don't delay yourself with that useless exercise. My educated guess is that you will arrive to Terminal 3 and leave for the US from Terminal 5. Even for that 90 minutes should be enough.
I have often flown into Terminal 5 and subsequently out of Terminal 5. It has always taken less than an hour to get from doors opening on the plane, through passport check (now via a machine...fast) and then through security back into the departure section of the terminal. Follow the signs for connections. I do sit near the front of coach. So you are likely to have no issues connecting to your ongoing flight, but if you do, BA will put you on the next flight.
Thank you all so much! This gives me a little peace of mind. My flight isn’t till October so not all gate/terminals are listed yet.
Just to reiterate and correct a few points....
.You will arrive and depart from Terminal 5. Use the link given about regarding Heathrow flight connections to get step by step instructions on what to do on arrival.
No need to go through Heathrow immigration just follow flight connection signs.
You will go through security again but this won't take long.
Even if your flight from Venice is delayed, and you miss your connecting filght, since it is one ticket BA has to get you on the next available flight.
Rocket, thank you so much for this:

I know this is an old topic, but it popped up when I searched the forum and I don't really need to start a new topic at this time with a new question.
I'm in the first stages of planning a trip to Germany, I hope for next spring. So far, my preferred option for flights is on BA and connects through LHR. Some flights I'm seeing have what look like tight connection times at LHR. I'm so happy to have this tool to work with before I book anything!
You should be fine. On Sunday I had a 100 minute connection, on separate tickets, and had to transfer from Terminal 3 to 2 via bus, then go through security. I had plenty of time, including a comfy time in the Lufthansa Lounge in Terminal 2.
