Layover at CDG; Air France question

That should be plenty of time. I assume you have a reason to want to fly to Gatwick rather than Heathrow, as I think Air France has quite a few more flights to the latter. Last year I got an upgrade offer to business at check in from Paris to Washington for about $600, and it was money very well spent. Great food and drink, seat and service.

That 2 hours plus should be fine but remember terminal 2 at CDG is ginormous! If you can stay airside, you won’t go through immigration until you land in the UK. Business class on Air France is wonderful.

I don't know about the ERW Air France lounge, but the Air France lounge in SFO (which I use for SAS flights) is so wonderful I eat there instead of on the plane so I can focus on getting to sleep sooner! (The cheese plate is amazing.)

I think you’ve got things sorted but I’ll say that 1 hour is not long enough at CDG. I timed myself last time on a transit thru there to Milan and it took me 1h5m from the time I stepped out of the door of the plane. That did not count time from landing to door opening to actually getting to the airplane door. This was coming in to 2E (Delta) and departing 2F (Air France). I did have to enter the Schengen zone so passport and security which it sounds like you can avoid. I had 3 hours for my transit but I was timing for friends who had booked a short transit time.

I’ve not done Business Class on AF but if you have the miles any Business Class is worth it. More comfortable seats, fewer people in that cabin so it’s quieter to sleep.
