We're going to Europe for the 1st time in December. We're buying our airline tickets on-line. Best prices seem to be British Airways, American, Northwest, KLM etc. Any airlines you recommend or suggest steering clear of?
Thanks!
Gina
You might want to check on an open jaw ticket: LAX-PARIS and BARCELON-LAX. Then buy a one-way ticket from Paris to Barcelona on a discount airline.
British Airways! Great service and wonderful FA. My only complaint would be that economy seats were tight. I never knew seats reclined so much. I have Restless Leg Syndrome, so my legs kept "jumping" and I kept kicking the poor kid in front of me, sorry I have no control over my "jumpy knees". I wanted to walk up and down the aisle, but I was stuck in the middle seat and heavy set guy next to me was asleep.
We flew New Orleans to Barcelona and return on American 6/09. Major delays both directions and they lost my luggage. I wouldn't use AA again. Previous trips to Europe on United, Delta and Continental were uneventful.
Gina - I would opt for British Airways. They are about $150 more than other airlines. We used them this past summer and the nonstop from LHR to PHX was worth it to us.
You may want to go to sidestep.com and put in your flight dates and get an idea of fares, flight times and layover times.
Doing open jaw like FrankII recommended is a excellent idea.
