I purchased the 2 for 1 Swiss Saver pass and would like to use it to travel from Lauterbrunnen to Munich. Because the Swiss portion of the trip will be covered by the Swiss Pass I would like to minimize the German and/or Austrian train ticket cost. Does anyone have advice for the best way to figure out the best route or trains to accomplish this. I think the Bayern pass would be available from Lindau to Munich but not sure. Do we have to purchase the Bayern ticket in advance or can we purchase on the train or while in Switzerland? Also, the information sent with the pass says their may be a reservation fee required for the Golden Pass (Lucerne - Interlaken - Montreaux). If I would like to travel from Interlaken to Zurich via Luzern, does this mean that I am required to purchase a reservation?
