What are your tips on finding less expensive airfares? Especially for last minute travel plans to Europe. Budget airlines? Best website to search for fares?
If you are looking for something near term, I doubt it exists.
Demand is up. Airlines are struggling with staffing and airports are putting limits on passenger volume. Not a recipe to produce 'bargains'.
Good luck
Try https://scottscheapflights.com/
They have both a free mailing list with last-minute deals as well as a membership option that gives you more options.
You’re best bet is to be flexible on dates and destinations. But if you’re trying to find a cheap flight to a specific place on specific dates, you’re probably out of luck. Fares are WAY up from prior years.
Travelzoo is a website that searches for deals. You can plug in “Europe” in the search field and see what pops up.
I use https://www.kiwi.com/en/
The nomad & multi-city features are cool especially if you are flexible.
I use Europe as my destinations or narrow it to areas like Northern Europe , Central Europe etc. or even specific cities.
It’s fun even if you don’t book!
Please step away from the Kiwi cheap airfare fairy... she's a myth.
Sure they will find you a deal..
SW to LaGuardia connecting to Iceland Air departing a few hours later out of Newark to London Gatwick connecting to EasyJet London Luton to Paris...
After all flying numerous airlines with a few hours between flights at different airports... what could possibly go wrong.. (Short answer EVERYTHING)
If you can't book the airfare on an AIRLINE site... Good Luck
(Do a search on Trip Advisor's air travel formum... probably over 1,000 rants about people who fell for the Kiwi lure and were screwed!)
