Thinking ahead to next summer. We would go from Stresa to Locarno and then back to Stresa two days later. I am thinking of one way by train ( the Centovalli railway) and return by boat.
Looking at schedules, I see the fast hydrofoil takes 1.5 hours for the journey, while the regular boat takes 3.5 to 4 hours. We would much prefer the faster time, but is it likely to be rough? Are there assigned seats or can one move around the boat?
Anything else we should know? Thanks for your help.
