As recommended in Steve's book Andrew Durman's driver services turned out to be excellent. Andrew obviously can't do all the driving himself. Our assigned driver was Lucas (Lukasz). He was waiting at the airport for us to take us to our hotel. A couple days later he picked us up for our trip to Auschwitz/Birkenau. On the way back to Krakow he took us to Wadowice to tour John Paul II's childhood home. The following day he promptly picked us up to take us to the Wieliczka Salt Mine. More than just a driver he was a wealth of information regarding each place we went to and gave us insight into Poland and its people. This service saved us a lot of time not having to travel by bus, trains or other time consuming modes of transportation. Days later when it was time to fly out of Krakow the trip back to the airport topped it off. I will go through Andrew again if we return to Krakow.
