I noticed that the night train from Krakow to Budapest has one stop in Breclav in the middle of the night in Breclav on the DB web site. On the Polish railways site it says that there are no stops. THe departure and arrival times are the same on both sites. Which site would be more correct? I would be inclined that the Polish site would be more correct, but I have used the DB site alot and it has never let me down!
When I took this night train back in July 2007, it was a non-stop route, but it went through Slovakia, and we stopped at the border twice (Poland/Slovakia, Slovakia/Hungary) for passport checks. It could have changed this year, but that's what it was last year.
The Bahn timetables show a direct route (no changes) through 13 December. From 14 December forward, when new timetables go into effect all across Europe, the site shows a change of trains in Breclav. I assume that the Bahn site is correct because it can only post timetables it has been given by each country's national rail site.
When in doubt I always call the toll free phone number and ask questions. I have learned not to trust info I obtain on webpages.
If your source for tickets doesnt have a phone number, go to another which does offer a number.
I just checked the Polish Rail site and saw a note saying that they haven't loaded the new timetables yet that will go into effect on 14 December. The note also says to check the DB site.
Thanks for your help!!
