Hello. We will be transferring trains in Koblenz, from Track 2 to Track 2 Sud. I've looked at the map for the station, and it appears that 2 Sud is the same track as Track 2, just farther away from the center of the station. Is this correct? Thank you for your time and expertise.

Yeah, that's right. Süd just means south. Stand at the south end.

As you stand on the platform, facing the track (and the station building), south is to your right.
