I've read in the paper that Northwest is having troubles this summer and cancelling lots of flights. What the articles don't say is whether they are just Northwest flights or whether they affect their partner KLM too. Does anybody know if KLM is cancelling lots of flights?

From what I understand, and I could be wrong, Northwest is just cancelling some domestic flights. At least that's what the statement on their website seemed to imply. I read the statement on their website a few days ago and they said they were cancelling due to storms in the midwest and because their pilots were tired (they are planning on hiring more pilots, etc.).

My neighbor is in the Airline leasing business and is very familiar with all of the worlds airlines. He told me not to worry about KLM. KLM is only tied to Northwest by partnering as KLM does with Air France and a number of other airlines. Hopes this help. Made me feel better as our direct flight is on KLM.
