KD Mosel dock in Koblenz

Planning on the river trip from Koblenz to Cochem this autumn. We know where the Gothe departs from as we did that in 2008 (awesome BTW) but can't find a definitive answer as to whether the Mosel boats also dock on the Rhine and then round the Deutsches Ecke and go up the Mosel or if there is another dock on the Mosel we need to be at. Anyone know for sure?

It is my understanding that there is just one K-D dock in Koblenz. The Rhein schedule shows a boat coming from Bonn and arriving at Koblenz at 13:00, then leaving Koblenz at 13:15, but doesn't show any more stops on the Rhein schedule and just says to see the Mosel schedule. On the Mosel schedule it shows a boat leaving Koblenz at 13:15 for for Winningen. That tells me that the boat for the Mosel leaves from the same dock as the Rhein boat. Further, the Bahn website lists only one stop for "Koblenz KD" and the map shows it on the Rhein, just up river from Deutsches Eck.

Since I wanted to find out for myself as well: I called KD in Koblenz and they confirmed there was only the one dock on Konrad-Adenauer embankment on the Rhine river.

Thanks for the replies. As a follow on, any recommended accommodations within a quick walk of the dock? In 2008 we stayed at Hotel Brenner on Rizzastrasse. A bit of a walk to start the day. Would like to be closer as we're not getting any younger and definitely going with one convertible back pack. Thanks

There are 2 things to note about the K-D Mosel schedule. They don't start running until 22 June. There is only one boat/day from Koblenz to Cochem. It leaves Koblenz at 9:45 and gets to Cochem at 15:00. That's 5h15min on the boat. I'd take the train (Koblenz-Cochem 34-48 min), at least most of the way. How about Koblenz to Moselkern (17 min) by train and boat (2 hrs) to Cochem.
