That'd be great if you could be assured that there will be a Norwegian Air Shuttle in the future.
I'm just hopeful that they can pull off their new revised business plan--and that the bondholders of the airline keep supporting them. We need all the budget air carriers we can get to keep the legacy airlines fares reasonable.

Thanks, this opens up interesting possibilities for those without local Norwegian access.

That is exciting news. JetBlue is also supposed to be flying from the United States to Europe beginning in 2021.

There's so much that is interesting about this.

The first line of the actual press release:

Norwegian Air and JetBlue have signed a Letter of Intent for an
interline agreement.

Is it just me or does that verbiage sound similar to the sentence below from a Wall Street Journal PRO article from Dec 2018?

Indigo Partners and Iceland’s WOW Air on Thursday said they reached an
agreement in principle for Indigo to invest in WOW.

The timing of the announcement is interesting, too. Norwegian announces 3rd quarter results next Thursday. During the Q2 earnings teleconference back in July, there was mention of a coming partnership about which Norwegian would have more to say in "weeks," not "months." It seems like it was important to get something out about this before the Q3 earnings teleconference -- even if it is an intent of an interline agreement rather than an actual interline agreement.

The skeptics are already writing that Jet Blue is pulling for Norwegian to fail so that in can swoop in and grab Norwegian's London airport slots:

Yes, bostonphil. I was on a Jet Blue flight recently, and the FA made the "exciting announcement" over the PA system about JB heading to Europe.
