Jet Blue adds more European routes

Jet Blue will start service between Boston and Barcelona (BCN) on April 16, 2026

It will also start service between Boston and Milan Malpensa (MXP) on May 11, 2026.

Tickets went on sale today. They will be seasonal and not all year long.

I am very excited to have another option for non-stop flight to Italy. Unfortunately, more competition does not mean lower prices. I had been monitoring prices for trip to Italy I am considering for 2026, which would require round-trip to MXP. Until today, Delta’s flight was just under $1,200. Today, JetBlue’s flight is nearly $1,400 for my dates. Guess what happened to Delta’s flight cost this morning? Yep, went up to over $1,500!

Mary, check ITA. We found their nonstop fares to be the most reasonable on our last trip a year ago. Not sure if they fly into Milan or just Rome, and not sure which US cities they fly nonstop from.

JetBlue also flies non stop Boston to Paris.

I was looking at the Austin to Paris on JetBlue today but there is not enough time between arriving Boston and departing Boston.

But who know by the time I go in September. Maybe the schedules will have changed.

Or maybe JetBlue will have added another plane.

Mary, check ITA.

Unfortunately, ITA only flies to Rome from Boston. I do have an Umbria-based trip sketched out. So if flights to Rome are cheaper, I will probably take that route.

On a related note, I flew to Paris in October on JetBlue. I admit I did not love the experience. They obviously use a smaller plane. Boarding was quick and simple. However, when arriving in Paris, we landed in a far-away area and had to wait for buses to take us to our terminal. That took up quite a bit of time. The food, especially on the way home, was AWEFUL (I wasn’t expecting gourmet).
