What do u suggest from Sweden to Southern Europe? I might get eurail. Would that cover total cost and how long would it take? Is it a handy way to go? Thank you.

Unless you are planning to visit many places along the way and stop and stay overnight, it is going to be cheaper and faster to fly between Sweden and Italy. It is more than 1000 miles. It would take more than 24 hours of travel time to go by train. The flight will be about 3 hours.
indeed, it is a very long travel from Sweden to Southern Europe. Depends on where in Sweden you depart - south at Malmo, or north at either Gothenburg or Stockholm? I would most likely opt for a flight. SAS Scandinavian Airlines offers one way attractive single fares (yes! rare these days). Alternatively Norwegian Airlines, a low cost carrier, could be a good choice. You save time and money! happy travel!
