Schedules look like they will work but I want to ask the group to verify that it makes sense. Travel Ryan Air from Dublin to Pisa, train Pisa to La Spezia, train La Spezia to Monterossa. Several days later retrace by train to Pisa and travel by train from Pisa to Venice. A day later train from Venice to Bergamo and fly Ryan Bergamo back to Dublin. If anyone has done any of these legs please let me know travel time and method from train station to airport or of any obstacles. Thanks,
Tom
We are committed to the Dublin portion...got a smokin hot deal on Aer Lingus which prompted the entire trip!
Why not fly open jaw...in to Dublin and out of Rome instead of doubling back to Dublin.
Look into other airlines besides Ryanair. This thread on the helpline (and the linked articles and video) may dissuade you from using them. Besides, you should be able to find a flight from Venice (Treviso or Venice Marco Polo) rather than having to go all the way to Bergamo. Look at SkyScanner for options. For train routes, look at the Bahn website. For Monterosso to Venice, I see multiple route options with 1-3 changes, but none of them go through Pisa. And all of them take about 6 hours, so you will only have a very short time in Venice if you fly out the day after you arrive.
