I am attempting to decipher the ferry maps. Does anyone know if there are only 2 towns in Italy that have ferry service to towns in Croatia?? We would love to ferry over to Rovinj or Pula, and we are just not finding that to be a possibility. Are we wrong ???

According to this page, there are ferries from Venice to both Rovinj and Pula.

Venezia Lines runs ferries from Venice to Pula and Rovinj. Trieste Lines runs a ferry from Trieste to Rovinj. Emilia Romagna Lines runs catamarans from Ravenna and Cesenatico to Rovinj. http://www.venezialines.com/ http://www.triestelines.it/ http://www.emiliaromagnalines.it/ There are numerous other ferry routes between Italy & Croatia, but I believe the above are your only options to Pula or Rovinj. Some of these routes are spring/summer only.

I had the same problem and got an answer. Venezia has a ferry that goes on Wed, Fri and Sat from Venice to Porec and then on to Rovinj. It does not go to Pula until the summer. We are going in May. It arrives in Porec at 7:30 pm. You cannot buy a ticket on the Venezia web site now but can see the schedules and route there.
