Italy saver pass

I am considering he above pass, first class, for travel between Rome-Naples-Rome-Rimini. Will I be able to travel on the LaFrecce train (fast) rome-naples, return naples-rome, and the ES (Euro-Star Italia) rome-Bologna, and then Inter city train to Rimini?

Yes, as long as you pay the reservation fees. If you bought tickets direct from the rail company (Trenitalia) they would include the fee in the price and prices can be quite low and if you are willing to buy in advance non changeable train and date/time specific special discounts are available

When you look at Trenitalia at http://www.trenitalia.com/ Be Sure to click on the button on the far right (of your train route-choices page) and then click 'continue' to see your actual fares on the next page - you're looking for a discount fare called "MINI" fares. I don't know how far in advance you're looking at tickets, but the inventory of MINI tickets decreases as time goes on...This will be less expensive than a pass, most likely. You can probably print these tickets at home; otherwise, pick them up from a machine there. Bring the credit card you purchase the tickets with to Italy with you; even if it expires in the meantime, bring the new and old cc with you. NOW, if you want maximun flexibility...still check the full-fare prices of these trains (shown on the train route-choices page) on the Trenitalia site (click on the English flag at the top of the page) and then compare those prices to a pass PLUS reservations needed (depending on the trains you choose). That's how you'll make your decision. Yes, those reservation fees are That High. Some trains, however, that are slower are cheaper - both from a reservation point and from a full-fare ticket point.
