I posted this a while back with no responses, so I thought I would try again: I'm trying to clarify whether the new parking lot at the train station in La Spezia is open yet; have seen conflicting reports on different websites.

Well, for all of you who have been waiting for the answer to this crucial question....I can now report that the parking lot is open! I was just there. Be a bit careful with the machine to pay for parking when you leave; it is a bit tricky. But if you want to spend a day on Cinque Terra, this is a great place to start out.
