Just letting people know that the cheap tickets have been uploaded onto their site. I’ve been checking every few days and was able to now purchase all of my August/September tickets for some nice savings.
Hi
I am new to the RS sight. We are planing a trip to Italy and would like to know the prices for tickets. Just send to my email.
Harold
Harold,
You can research ticket prices yourself and buy them at www.trenitalia.com, www.italotreno.it, or www.trainline.eu. The latter site will also give you options on both train companies.
SuperEconomy tickets have been available on trenitalia.com for months on most routes.
Trenitalia uploaded the Regionale trains summer schedules on May 20. Those who couldn't see SuperEconomy tickets (and thought they were not on-sale) were probably trying to purchase a multi-leg ticket that included a Regionale train.
I was looking specifically for the late morning tickets from Verona to Bologna to be loaded onto the Trenitalia site since I'm attending the Verona opera the night before I leave. Previously, just the early morning and late afternoon choices were available. The 11:52am Frecciargento (& other times) finally showed up this week to purchase.
I'm excited to return to Italy again!
Very helpful post. I managed to buy seats for each leg of our trip in September as a result of reading this.
I’d been looking at the Trenitalia site for a few months, but found the Trainline site easier to use. I did find that one leg which was “ unavailable “ on Trainline, could be purchased via Trenitalia.
Glad this was helpful, Boatharbour! You live in a beautiful area, too!
Thank you.
I've just purchased two-for-price-of-one tickets from Bologna to Florence, on the high speed train for September.
More euros for coffee and gelato!
S. Jackson, that's a double-win! Yes, savings should always be tallied as number of extra gelatos. ; )
Yes, Jean!
We may even sit down for coffee! :)
