RER B to CDG impacted by upgrade?

My understanding is that the RER B is undergoing a multi-year upgrading project. Has anyone experienced any issue with the RBR B train to/from CDG? Or should I take Roissybus to the airport. I have a Sunday morning flight.

Yes, there are many weekends without service to the airport. If Roissybus is convenient for you, it is a good alternative, especially since traffic is light in Sundays.

RATP runs a blog with details on engineering works on the RER B 4-5 months out at a time. It's all in French, but Google Translate or machine translation should do fine. I'd check a week or so before your trip to see if there is a relevant RER B closure.

To give you an idea, there won't be any RER B trains to CDG airport on 22, 26, 29 May as well as 18, 19 June. For July and beyond, we don't know yet.

We took the RER B last Sunday with no problems. We ended up on the express line, by sheer chance, and it was a pleasant jouney.

Sounds like it could potentially be an issue in the weekend. I downloaded 'Bonjour RATP' app so I can check their schedule and service interruption ahead of time. For now I still plan to use RER B with Roissybus as a backup. I read it somewhere that Roissybus service/schedule has been unreliable during the pandemic; hopefully it's back in shape by now. And yes it's important to take the RER B express train instead of the regular trains.
My hotel is very close to Chatelet Les Halles; so RER B will be my preferred choice from/to CDG. But the Roissybus Opéra stop is just as easily reached by RER A; at least I have options. I'm too cheap to take the taxi; I usually buy the all-zone Navigo Découverte Weekly Pass; which is such a a good deal as it's good for Roissybus/Metro/RER/Bus (I do have to schedule my days in Paris to be within the same week).

Thank you all for your inputs; I really appreciate it!

You don't often have a choice.

Hi Kim:
You're right! I really should have said "it would be preferable to take the express train".
It all depends on the time and day one takes the train. According to Google maps express trains start running after ~ 9 a.m. on weekdays; and as early as ~ 6 a.m. on weekend.

Thanks for the heads up. My travel buddy and I are scheduled to fly out of CDG on Sunday May 22 too. Well be on the RS BOP May 15 tour. Were planning to use the a pre-scheduled shuttle from the hotel so will ask them to reserve it early in just in case.
