I plan to spend a few days on the island of Inishmore in the Aran Islands, using Galway as a home base to leave from. I've been told I must drop my rental car at the airport in Shannon. How can I get without a car from the Shannon airport to Galway? And how, after the days spent on Inishmore, can I get from Galway back to Shannon Airport in order to fly home? Esther

Yes, take Bus Eireann. It's widely used by all and can be fun! A couple of years ago I arrived at Shannon and took a bus to Ennis. I purchased my ticket at the Bus Eireann ticket window at the airport. I just looked at the airport website and that ticket window isn't on the map, but I remember it was next to the car hire desks.
