Here we go again. The Irish Government is closing its airspace on Tuesday due to Volcanic ash. If anyone is planning on flying in our out or Ireland tomorrow you'd better check with your airline.

For those interested in the science of how the volcanic ash from Iceland can affect European travel, you can go to the Icelandic Meteorological Office website and click on "volcanic ash advisory" or "update on activity". They post daily reports and maps on volcanic activity and where the ash is falling. We saw that the volcanic plume was completely over Ireland and parts of the UK early this morning US west coast time. Just about two hours ago, which would be about 10 hrs later, news of the closure of air space in Ireland was reported.
We have a 40th wedding anniversary trip to Italy planned for early July and are totally committed to it. The IMO website provides a direct,reliable source of information rather than the often sensationalism of the news media. Hope some folks will find the website helpful and interesting.
