Ireland: Doolin to Dingle

I will be traveling throughout Ireland for a month (mid Sept to mid Oct) and I need help: How do I travel by ferry or boat from Doolin to Dingle? Please identify the ferry or boat firm. Thank you kindly!

There is no boat/ferry between these places. The harbor at Doolin as so small that even the sightseeing ferries dock on Inisheer, the nearby island.

You might be thinking of the ferry across the River Shannon between Killimer and Tarbert. From Doolin you would take the coast road to Killimer. There is only one ferry - a 20 min. crossing to Tarbert. It saves a few miles from going around through Limerick.

Thank you so much! My best option is the bus as I do not drive while on overseas holiday :-)

My next trip (in August) will be to England, Scotland and Spain. Not really spending any time in England, just getting into London and catching a train to Scotland.

Nancy You are so spot on! Thank you :-) As a result, I looked at Shannonferries timetable - how cool :-) = Bus-Ferry-Bus
What a treat!! Where are you going for your next holiday?

Even if you could do that the trip would take much longer than the land route.

I looked at shannonferries and I do not see a bus + ferry + bus. im heading from dingle to doolin in june.
