Howdy. I am traveling from Dublin to Galway on to Clifden and then back to Dublin through Rosscommon. Is the Irish Explorer 8 day pass what I should purchase in order to be the easiest/most economical pass or should I get the Emerald? Thanks,

If you want to save money, skip the train altogether and get an Open Road bus pass. See this page on the Bus Eireann site.
