We are going from Gimmelwald to Venice. There is a train that leaves Interlaken at 5:20 - is it possible to get down from Gimmelwald that early in the morning?

There are train connections every hour that will get you from Interlaken to Venice. So you are better off waiting until the cable car is open for business. Give the Swiss Rail web site a spin at:
