This may be a stupid question, but have any of the trains started providing WiFi internet access?
Which country, which trains?
Erin, The Thalys high-speed trains have wi-fi now...not sure about the others.
We will be traveling all over Europe... France, Germany, Austria, Italy, Switzerland, Prague.
You can get wi-fi on the German trains, but you either have to pay for it (I think it is about 20 €) or if you ride first class you get it for free. There are so many hot spots all over the cities now, that paying for it on the train is kind of excessive.
WLAN on Germany ICE trains is only on certain lines (currently Frankfurt to Munich, Hamburg, and Köln/Düsseldorf) and costs €8 per hour or 30 days for €29.
