Inter-country travel w/rental car

Hi, My fiancee and I are planning a 10-11 day honeymoon to the Algarve in Portugal with 4-5 days in Tarifa, Spain at the end, flying into Lisbon on April 26 and departing early morning May 7. We were hoping to drive much of the way. While we might have to drive the car back to Lisbon from Tarifa entirely on May 6, I was curious whether the rental company would have an issue with us taking our Portuguese rental into Spain and back. If you have any suggestions for an affordable one-way rental, that would be helpful too. Ideally, we cld fly into Lisbon and out of Sevilla. Thanks! Adam

There will be no problem taking the car to Spain (or any other country within reason). You can't afford to drop it in a second country, so drive back to Lisbon. Since you will have already been in the Algarve and that's the fastest way back to Lisbon, you might want to take the Merida - Badjoze route for a change of scenery (it'll add only about a half hour).
