Immigration issues flying from Zurich to Berlin

Hello,

I am new to this forum and we are planning at trip to Zurich in April of this year. We fly into Zurich from Dulles and understand we will go through their immigration process but I cannot find if we need to be aware of possible time delay flying from Zurich to Berlin and then back again to Zurich or not.

Zurich to Berlin (and back) is an intra-Schengen flight. So it is like a domestic flight in the US.

If transiting from the US direct to Berlin: You will go through passport control in Zurich, but will not need to re clear security.
