Apparently since I posted this minutes ago, the ground stop has JUST been lifted. Technology issue was the reason.
Hopefully any of you traveling have no issues, and if you were among the few flights canceled (maybe they have been reinstated). Fingers crossed.

We made connections in Frankfurt in March, and United couldn't get our plane boarded promptly. We were 90 minutes late leaving which meant we missed our Sunday connection at Dulles. We had to spend the night in an off airport hotel. Then United's flights into our home airport were full for 2 more days--medium size commuter jets.
We ended up having to accept a flight into Atlanta, rent a van ($400) and drive 200 miles home.
Future flights will be on Delta with full size jets coming into our hometown airport as it's more likely there will be available seats.
