United has cut several flights, so check you reservations according to this Simply Flying article https://simpleflying.com/united-international-cuts-2022/
It’s probably a good idea to check once in a while no matter what. One whole leg of my return trip went missing. It was booked through United, but it was an Air Canada flight. I still haven’t been notified that it’s been canceled. I’m going to rebook the whole thing as soon as I know my tour is a go in April.
I heard somewhere several years ago that Delta often makes flight changes on Saturdays. Don’t know if that’s true. But I check my reservations every Saturday or Sunday regardless of which airline I’m flying on. Best to catch and resolve a problem quickly.
The Flyer Talk Delta aficionados call it “Schedule Change Saturday” and it’s a real thing. In this crazy travel era, I check my pending flights on my Delta app numerous times every Saturday, waiting for changes.
I check any reservations Sunday or Monday morning, just to stay on top of things. No point in obsessing on Saturdays, just wait for the dust to clear.
Thanks for sharing this. I have two trips planned for this year and I check the flights often. I am using United miles for both trips. So far nothing has changed significantly except for my flight next month. They eliminated my flight from Sacramento to San Francisco and put us on a much earlier flight, giving us a 7 hour layover at SFO until we get on the plane to Frankfurt. No thanks. Thankfully a friend has offered to drive us to SFO. I called United and they changed our itinerary.
I add my flights into the Flightview app. It will notify you when there are changes.
American Airlines just dropped the last leg of my journey home from Italy. Can I cancel that flight and get a full refund?
Would United show the flight status on their app?
