If taking night train, is early morning arrival in the train station safe?

I'm looking into taking some night trains. I see some of the trains arrive early at the destination city. Is it safe to arrive at the train station at that time? My plan would be to arrive early in the morning and drop luggage off to the hotel (i realize i can't check in yet, but i'm assuming hotels can hold the luggage).

i understand if might depend on the arriving city, so below at the night trains i'm thinking about taking. if you know about the safety in the early morning hours, please let me know. thanks!

Paris->Munich
Paris->Milan (arrives at 5:40am)
Rome->Venice
Rome->Milan
Venice->Roma

I'm also thinking of going from Nice->Rome (or vice versa).. but have yet to figure that plan out. I think the night train requires a stopover at 3am, which makes flying look like a great option....

IMO, the direct Paris-Munich night train would be well worth taking. According to the authoritative seat61.com site, CNL trains are excellent.

The case isn't as strong for your other routes, but here's some information on two of them.

Rome-Nice: You can take a night train from Rome to Genova, leaving at 23:50 and arriving at 05:50. Continue on day trains to Ventimiglia and Nice, arriving at 10:36.

Nice-Rome: Leave Nice at 18:24 and connect in Ventimiglia and Genova. The Genova-Rome night train leaves at 23:53 and arrives at 05:51.

We took the Paris to Munich night train in 2008 with our 3 children then ages 6, 6 and 8. We had no problems. We checked our luggage at the Munich train station and spent the day in this wonderful city. Our destination was Salzburg. We also took the night train from Munich to Rome. No problems there as well except there were a lot of 20 somethings sleeping in the hallways. I just kept our door locked. I enjoyed the night trains. We are taking one on our trip this summer as well from Munich to Budapest.

Europe is nearly perfectly safe. No need to worry other than just being cautious. Hotels will absolutely hold your bags before and after check-in/check-out. And as the others said, high-speed trains negate the need for overnights except for your Paris-Munich or Paris-Milan.
