If SeatGuru is no longer updated, what website is recommended for planning where to sit on flights?

The replacement most often suggested is aerolopa. It is true that seatguru is no longer being updated.

I generally go to flyertalk.com. Find the airline forum and do a search for my aircraft. There's generally a long thread with pros and cons of seats...It's a lot to weed through but I find it pretty accurate.

I am so disappointed to hear this. I always checked SeatGuru when booking flights unless it was an airline, plane type and route I was familiar with. Does anyone know why it is no longer updated?

LaurieBeth, it was bought by Expedia some years ago and spun off into TripAdvisor. About 4+ years ago, TA stopped updating flight info. There is a disclaimer on their website that says,

Thank you for your interest in SeatGuru. Currently we are not making additional updates to our content on the site and are unable to provide other support. -SeatGuru.

I guess they just weren't making money off of it, and decided not to put any more money into it.
