I've not seen many posts about iDTGV trains. Has anyone traveled on these? It appears they're geared to the younger crowd (of which I'm not a member), but the prices were very good. I would appreciate hearing about anyone's experience. Thanks, Cathy
The iDTGV trains are a marketing tool designed to increase the number of young riders, and to fill up trains that run at less popular times of day. They're basically regular TGV units, where they have cars divided into iDZEN (quiet) and iDZAP (video games, chatting on your cell phone, music, games, etc.) I had a seat on an iDZEN car a couple of years ago, just after they were introduced, and it was very quiet....cell phones are banned, and those who turn up their mp3 players too loud are asked to turn them down. One of the train staff told me they'll relocate passengers who get too noisy in the iDZEN cars, but that didn't happen on my trip.
