I'm hoping there are other Iceland travelers pursuing this forum! I'm thinking about driving from Reykjavik to Akureyri mid-October (19-23). I'm wondering if the drive is worth it from a scenic standpoint and/or if there are any towns folks recommend to hit along the way. Otherwise, I'm considering a domestic flight and renting a car once I get to Akureyri. I'll be returning to Reykjavik via domestic flight on the 23rd. Thoughts?
