Iberia Airline Email?

Trying to contact Iberia Airline before my flight in May. I have a tight connection and want in writing their reassurance that if passport control is backed up I’m not liable. I know if it’s mechanical/weather delay that leads to 1st flight being delayed, it’s not my fault. But what if passport control is my enemy that day?

I basically just need company correspondence to show to gate agent in case this happens

I'm not trying to discourage you, but this very situation happened to us. We travel every summer from USA to Spain, using Iberia airlines. Like every other year, we booked a flight to BCN, connecting through MAD. The passport control line was crazy that day and we missed our connecting flight (it was booked on the same ticket at the same time). We went to the Iberia customer service window and the nice lady told us that "others who were on your flight managed to make it through passport control on time," so she would not book us on a new flight, unless we paid for the ticket again (MAD to BCN - not a bank buster, but still about $200 each). We were really upset by this decision by Iberia, but since it was the beginning of our vacation, we paid it, and moved on.
