I've searched, can't find answer. Terminal 2B, CDG. Our flight

on American arrives a few minutes ahead of another family members flight on Continental. As of now, both seem to be coming in at Terminal 2B. Need an obvious place to meet. The flier on Continental has never been at CGD. If that makes any difference, I don't know, but she is uneasy about meeting up. Any suggestions as to an obvious spot? I've been to the airport and know that they tend to change things. Is the Information booth still in the middle of the Terminal? Which floor, the arrival? How about a back-up spot?

With the cancellations going on now with the airlines, I wonder how much time to allot waiting. Are they good at posting any flight problems? Need contingency plans...ie after X hours, take a cab to Rue Cler. No first time Paris visitor should try to get there via public transport. Been to CDG lately? Any help is appreciated.

Meet at the arrivals area, where you come out into the main airport where all the people are waiting to pick up family, friends etc. However if it's only a few minutes, you might consider waiting for them at the luggage area.

How about Door Number 6 - I find meeting people there to be helpful. Should you decide to take a taxis your are near by (just outside). The other thought is - should there be a terminal change - everyone knows to go to 2B - door 6.

Back up spot is the Rail Station (everyone go to the Gare and meet at the information booth there).

I am not sure what you are meaning with your last few sentences? Public transport is efficient and inexpensive.

This website will help with maps and transport suggestions.

An alternative place to meet would be La Brioche Dorée, a coffee shop/restaurant at Terminal 2B. Whoever arrives first can drink coffee and eat a croissant while waiting.

What I meant by the statement "no first time visitor...", refers only to us this time. My daughter has never been to Europe before and we are coming in on different airlines. CDG is overwhelming and if she does not understand the system, I know she'll be a basket case. Because of other circumstances, she cannot devote the time needed to figure out the bus/train/shuttle etc from the airport. I know the system is very user friendly but I was referring only to my daughter and this particular phase of our trip. Thank you for your helpful suggestions.

If she's arriving first and the time isn't too much, how about having them wait for you at your arrival gate? Especially since you're in the same terminal.
Just a thought.
